What Does It Mean to Be Master Elite Certified? And Why Does It Matter?

The roof is one of the most essential parts of your home, so you shouldn’t leave your roofing needs to just anyone. Ensuring that you use the most skilled contractor for the job is critical. Taking the time to seek out a Master Elite roofing contractor is crucial to guarantee you are receiving the best quality work.

What is Master Elite?

A Master Elite Certification is the highest level of certification a contractor can obtain. Becoming a Master Elite contractor requires a certificate from GAF, one of the country’s largest and oldest roofing companies. It is challenging to receive a Master Elite Certification, which is why only 2% of roofing companies qualify as Master Elite. Here are the qualifications GAF verifies before granting a company as Master Elite-

  • Minimum 7 years in business – 1 year in their certified program
  • 99% customer satisfaction based on independent surveys from GAF
  • 1 million general liability coverage + proper and valid worker’s compensation
  • Satisfactory rating with BBB
  • GOOD or better credit rating
  • Clean banking record (no overdrafts, negative info)
  • Clean distributor reference (means we pay our bills)
  • No judgments unresolved on record
  • Good workmanship record

After they can verify all of your information, you are then required to meet with the territory managers face to face. If selected, GAF will then proceed to do routine inspections on the roofs your company installs each year.

Why Does A Master Elite Certification Matter When Hiring A Roofing Contractor?

The main benefit of hiring a Master Elite contractor is ensuring you receive the best quality service. Master Elite Roofing contractors have a 99 percent customer satisfaction rating, so clients are very pleased with their work. Not only are they able to provide excellent quality service, but they can provide some of the best warranties as well. With these warranties, you can be sure that your roof will be kept up to GAF manufacturing standards. This also includes inspections after your roof is installed. GAF also offers a Weather Stopper Roof Protection System, which provides lifetime physical protection from severe weather. As a Florida resident, this is something to consider as we are experiencing hurricane season.

Whether you are getting your existing roof repaired or installing a new one, you must go with a company you can trust. Hiring a Master Elite contractor is the safest option for your home and ensures you receive the best quality work. If you need high-quality roofing services, Certified Roofers is here to help!
